(Colossians 2:2). Website security

The Apostle Paul states “For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord;
walk as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8

Before we heard of the good news of the Lord Jesus and made a freewill decision to Confess Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart God has raised Jesus from the dead, we were under the darkness and oppression of Satan, the “god” of this world.

Ever since Adam the first son of God compromised the integrity of his bonds of fellowship with the One True God, all people have been born under the dominion of Satan. Satan informs Jesus that the power and glory of the kingdoms of this world have been delivered to him and that he would give Jesus the kingdoms of this world if Jesus would worship him. Luke 4:6.

The Apostle Paul gives us the light that God has delivered us from the power of darkness. Colossians 1:13. The Apostle Paul explains that once we have heard the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation, and have made a confession of faith, we are at that very moment sealed with that holy spirit of promise – referring to the promised spirit that was poured out on the day of Pentecost. Ephesian 1:13.

Our gift of spiritual birth of holy spirit shows us the reality of our reconciliation with God. The holy spirit is the “witness” to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. The holy spirit of which we are born is the means by which we have spiritual fellowship with God our Father, Jesus our Lord and one another as members of the Church of His Body, the Lord Jesus who is the head of the Church of His Body, which was established on the day of Pentecost.

The Apostle Paul explains God has delivered us from the power of darkness and given us the gift of holy spirit by grace. Ephesians 2:19

We walk in the Bonds of Fellowship with God and Jesus by walking in the spirit
- I Corinthians 12:5.

Read Acts 13:2 where Jesus directs the members of His Body. Also Acts 16: 6,7 and II Corinthians 3:17,18. God and Jesus reveal things to us by the gift of holy spirit – I Corinthians 2:10.

The Apostle Paul exhorts us to walk in the spirit. He gives us the light that the spirit of which we are born has nine manifestations and nine fruit. I Corinthians 12: 7-11 and Galatians 5:22.

The manifestations and the fruit of the gift of holy spirit are the evidence of our reconciliation with God through Jesus.

The Apostle Paul says the gift of spiritual birth of holy spirit is within us – Colossians 1:27.

Our first priority as a child of God is to worship God in the spirit – John 4:24, Philippians 3:3.

Worshipping God in the spirit is to pray in the spirit by speaking in tongues – I Corinthians 14:2.

The people who received the holy spirit on the day of Pentecost gave proof they had received the holy spirit by speaking in tongues and worshipped God by speaking the wonderful works of God.

This pattern of speaking in tongues when you receive the gift of holy spirit is repeated by Cornelius whom was a non-Jew. He and his family gave proof they had been reconciled to God by speaking in tongues and magnified God – Acts 10:10.

The Apostle Paul gives us the light speaking in tongues is for our personal edification. Speaking in tongues is the proof you are a child of God by spiritual birth of holy spirit – Romans 8: 16,17.

Speaking in tongues will strengthen you in grace, faith and understanding in your commitment to the Bonds of Fellowship – Ephesians 3:16, II Corinthians 4:16.

The Apostle Paul says to walk in the spirit and put on the bond of charity – I Corinthians 13. Charity is the love of God that is given to us as one of the fruit of the spirit. Romans 5:5.

Wordlight Fellowship encourages you to commit to the Bonds of Fellowship by renewing your mind to walk in the spirit of which you are born which has nine manifestations and nine fruit.

Our fellowship with God our Father and Jesus the Messiah & Lord is a spiritual fellowship made available by God by grace through Jesus by the gift of spiritual birth of holy spirit since the day of Pentecost in the year of the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus to the right hand of Almighty God. Glory to God.

Now, if we are in a fellowship and speak in tongues, we are to interpret what we spoke for the edification of the fellowship. I Corinthians 14:27, 28. Speaking in tongues is to God and therefore the interpretation is what we spoke to God. We may speak divine secrets – I Corinthians 14:2. We may speak the wonderful works of God – Acts 2:11. We may magnify God – Acts 10:46. We may give thanks well – I Corinthians 14:17.

The Apostle Paul gives us the light that prophecy is to edify, exhort and comfort others. I Corinthians 14:3. A prophecy can be from God or the Lord Jesus . The prophecy can be to an individual or a fellowship. The prophecy delivered is called a prophetic message. The message can cover the past, present or future. God or Jesus work with us through prophesy to encourage us to live a godly life in the bonds of fellowship with them.

Some fellowships have what they call a Prophetic Council. The council usually keeps track of prophesy by Prophets. The message of a Prophet can be to an individual or to the Church of His Body on any given subject.

The Apostle Paul gives us the light prophecy is used to build up the Church of His Body – I Corinthians 14:12.

Each member of the Church of His Body is baptized with holy spirit by Jesus and each member can manifest all nine manifestations of the gift of spiritual birth of holy spirit. The manifestations are for our profit until Jesus gathers us together – I Corinthians 13: 8, 10 and 11.

God’s heart is that we use the manifestations to edify – I Corinthians 14: 2-5.

When you prophesy whether to an individual or a fellowship you bring forth a message by inspiration from God or the Lord Jesus for edification, exhortation and comfort.

Prophecy is to be earnestly desired – I Corinthians 14:39.

Prophesy is for the learning of all given a prophesy – I Corinthians 14: 24,31.

Edification is to build-up, make strong in the Faith, to establish in the Lord, to instruct-Galatians 4:19, Ephesians 4:16

Exhortation is to entreat, admonish, caution, encourage, inspire, counsel-Romans 12:8

Comfort is to console, bring peace, ease grief, to soothe in time of affliction or distress, to encourage

We are to guard the light of our unity by spiritual birth of holy spirit – Ephesians 3: 3-5 and 6.

Each member is united with Jesus by spiritual birth of holy spirit – Colossians 1:27

We are to seek to edify the Church of His Body to build up others – Romans 14: 19, 15: 1-2.

We have listed speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophesy. Here are the rest of the manifestations.

Discerning of spirits is God or the Lord Jesus revealing to you information about the presence or non-presence of spirits (including both holy spirit or demons), and some times including the identity of demons present, whether or not you may cast them out, and providing the power to do it. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.- Ephesians 6:12

We are in a spiritual battle. Lucifer is the arch-enemy of God. He has not yielded to the Lord Jesus as Lord of the Cosmos. Genesis 3:1; Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19 Lucifer is our Adversary: Revelation 12:7. His motives and methods are revealed in Scripture: II Timothy 3:1-5; I Timothy 4:1-4; Revelation 2:9; 3:9; II Corinthians 11:13-15; 11:23-27; 12:7; II John 10,11; I Corinthians 2:14; II Peter 1:4; 3:3,4; John 17:15; Galatians 3:3; II Chronicles 11:5; 12:1; II Peter 2:10-22; John 12:25; James 4:1-17.

The primary motive of the Adversary is to usurp God in our lives. He cannot counterfeit speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues. His manifestations include false prophecy, possession, clairvoyance,
lies, signs and wonders, healings to gain a foothold in our life.

We are to walk in the spirit to overcome the snare of the Adversary. We can overcome just like the Lord Jesus: I John 3:8; Hebrews 2:14; Acts 10:38; Mark 1:27; Luke 4:41; Matthew 10:1; Luke 10:17; Luke 8:29; Mark 1:25;; Matthew 10:1; Mark 3:14,15; Matthew 7:22; Luke 10:17-19; Matthew 17:20; Philippians 2:10; Ephesians 1:19-23; Colossians 1:13.

The manifestation of working of miracles is you exercising your God-given spiritual ability to do miracles by the power of God, according to what God or the Lord Jesus has revealed to you by a message of knowledge or a message of wisdom.

The manifestation of gifts of healings is you exercising your God-given spiritual ability to heal by the power of God, according to what God or the Lord Jesus has revealed to you by a message of knowledge or a message of wisdom.

We can heal just like the Lord Jesus: Mark 5:30; Luke 6:19; 8:46; Healing is a sign of God’s forgiveness: Mark 2:9-11. Healing confirms the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: Acts 3:15,16; Hebrews 13:8; Healing builds Faith for salvation: John 6:2; Healing glorifies God: Mark 2:12; Matthew 15:31. Healing is for all: I Peter 2:24; Matthew 8: 16,17; Matthew 10:1.

The Lord Jesus restored people to health: Luke 4:40; John 5:1; Matthew 28:20; Luke 9:2; Luke 6:10; Matthew 12:13; Mark 3:5; Mark 8:25.. The Lord Jesus cured people: Luke 4:18; Matthew 17: 16,18; Mark 9:17; Mark 3:10,11;

Now let us look at the fruit of the spirit: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and self-control. Galatians 5:22,23.

Love activates. Our faith works by love – Galatians 5:6 All our actions are to be activated by love. Love is what activated the Lord Jesus to die for us. Love is what activated God to give His only begotten son , that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16

The Apostle Paul exhorts us to abound in love – Philippians 1:9-11.

Joy is an encouraging fruit. It encourages the individual by enlightment. It causes an individual to effervesce with an inner exuberance. This joy emanates from within. Our example of joy is our Lord Jesus: Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God – Hebrews 12:2.

We are to have joy over the hope we have of our redemption in Jesus and our spiritual birth of holy spirit. The Apostle Paul writes Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost – Romans 15:13

Peace is a guarding fruit. We are to endeavor to keep (guard) the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace – Ephesians 4:3 Our peace comes from God through Jesus. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep (guard) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:7 Jesus is the Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6 The sacrifice of Jesus gave us peace with God – Romans 5:1.

Longsuffering or patience is a doing fruit. Romans 2:4 and 9:22 inform us that God endured with patience..The Apostle Paul exhorts us to be like God “with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love – Ephesians 4:2

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not – Galatians 6:9.

Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God – Philippians 4:6

Longsuffering or patience forbears and endures by causing or doing. Longsuffering is a trait of leadership in the Church of His Body - 2 Timothy 4:2

Gentleness or kindness is an encouraging fruit. The Apostle Paul declares that the gentleness of God leads us to repentance – Romans 2:4. We are to be humble and gentle – Ephesians 4:2 and Ephesians 4:31,32. God is love and love is kind – I Corinthians 13:4

Goodness is a guarding fruit. We are manifesting goodness in ministering to others. The Apostle Paul writes And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another – Romans 15:14

It is out of goodness we minister to others with the light of the Faith. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works – II Timothy 3: 16 and 17.

The Apostle Paul exhorts us As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of Faith – Galatians 6:10.

Goodness guards by ministering.

Faithfulness is a doing fruit. We are to be faithful to love God and follow Jesus – to fight the good fight of the faith until the appearing of the Lord Jesus to gather us together. We are to be faithful ambassadors and ministers of the Lord Jesus – I Corinthians 4:1,2.

Meekness is an encouraging fruit. God and Jesus have our best interests at heart and we should be meek to be submissive to them. We are to receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21. We should show meekness unto all men – Titus 3:2.We can be meek in heart just like the Lord Jesus – Matthew 11:29. Meekness is a quality of a leader in the Church of His Body – I Corinthians 4:21, II Corinthians 10:1,2.

Meekness encourages positive results.

Self-Control is a guarding fruit. This fruit of the spirit helps us to control and guard our results.

The Apostle Paul points out that every man who strives for the mastery is self-controlled in all things. I Corinthians 9:25. We are to endeavor to walk in the spirit of which we are born which takes mastery. Self-control guards results.

The Apostle Paul gives us the good news there is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. We are forgiven and given everlasting life and baptized by Jesus with the gift of spiritual birth of holy spirit.

The Apostle Paul exhorts us to walk in the spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8: 1-6

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh – Galatians 5:16

Let us walk in the spirit to be a light of God’s love to a world in darkness.
